Margin is the area between the main content of the page and page edges
Margins can be adjusted using margins section present in Layout tab

If not customized, Word take its default margins they are
Top: 1 inch, Bottom: 1 inch, Left: 1.25 inches, Right: 1.25 inches

Custom margins
- After predefined margins there is an option to customize the margins. Click on custom margins. A Page Setup pop up will appear
